A chukuri is a unique type of Khukuri, which differs from other traditional Khukuri in that, it has a sharp cutting edge in lower part as well as the spine. Which can be used deliver a fatal blow. It is one of the famous Khukuris. This Khukuri is a handmade khukuri, the blade of the Khukuri is made up of highly graded carbon steel (Car and jeep leaf spring, 5160). It is a full tang chukuri with bone and wood handle with 4 rivets, which is custom made design unique to our shop.The scabbard is made up of Pinewood and water buffalo leather. The length of the blade is 11 inch, which is an unpolished blade. The blade weights about 1200 gms with the scabbard .The handle which is made up of bone and pinewood, which are fused together by Laha is about 5 inch. The overall length of the Khukuri being 16 inches. The thickness of the blade is 10mm. The hardness of steel at the spine is 22-25 RC, belly=45-46 RC and at the edge=54-55 RC. The khukuri comes with Karda and Chakmak, two small accessory blades used for Sharpening =. This Khukuri was originated in Dharan. This Khukuri comes in various sizes, such as 5 inch, 6 inch, 8 inch, 10 inch and 12 inch. Our Shop has made Chukuri in various styles. We have Chukuri that resembles Itihaas Khukuri, one that’ similar to American eagle, a new style which makes our product very unique.
