This is a 4 inch American Eagle kukri. The blade is made up of high carbon spring steel which is ideal for edge retention and ease of sharpening. The 4 inch American Eagle Kukri is handmade and extremely beautiful kukri made in the Eastern region of Nepal.
The handle of the 4 inch American Eagle Kukri is made up of Indian rose wood which is glued together into the tang by Laha. It’s a full tang kukri. The base of the kukri is in the shape of the Eagle, hence it gets its name, the American Eagle. The kukri comes with a Scabbard made up of buffalo leather which is fused with pinewood. The hardness of the steel is spine: 22-25 RC, belly: 45-46 RC, edge: 58-60 RC. The material used in this American Eagle kukri is pure Highly Graded Carbon Steel, (car & Jeep leaf spring, 5160)Water Buffalo refine Leather for Scabbard(outside) and water buffalo bone for the handle, Pinewood for the Scabbard (inside), Laha( Nepali Traditional Glue). The overall weight of the American Eagle kukri is 500 gms.
The scabbard have been beautifully made with the water buffalo lather. That is the reason it can be used as a decorative American Eagle kukri. It can be used in chopping vegetables and meats and it is used in the hunting purposes too. It is small is size so it can be easily carry in the pocket. It is a full guarded American Eagle kukri so there is no chances of breaking the blade. It goes from one generation to another. Since it has been produce from our own production house there is high quality carbon used so there is no way of breaking down the blade.
