Chefs knives –  This is an 8-inch Chefs knives. This Knife is one of the best selling knives of FGKH. The blade is of high-grade carbon steel (Car and jeep leaf spring, 5160). The blade is 8 inches long. It’s a full tang blade with a wood handle. The handle is 5-inch long wood is used in making the handle with three rivets and glue up together by traditional Nepali glue called Laha. The overall length of the kukri is 13 inches. The water buffalo leather is used in making a scabbard. The lower spine is 3mm and the lower spine is 3mm. The handle circumference of the chef knife is 4 inches.

The hardness of the knife is spine 22-25 RC, belly 45-46 RC, edge 58-60 RC. The total weight of the chef knife is 448 grams. The blacksmith of the Dharan (East Nepal). The scabbard is of up of water buffalo and it has a small blate around the handle. The blade has the amazing ups and downs which have given extra look for the kukri.

You may not know how to take out the kukri from the sheath. So, always draw the khukuri from scabbard slowly holding the upper edge of scabbard with palm and fingers. Avoid encircling the scabbard with your fingers. It may cause injury to your inner fingers. For the maintenance of the kukri: if you are going to keep it inside the scabbard for a long time, make sure the blade is well oiled with any kind of machine oil or gun oil. If you have a displaying stand as shown in the photo than, just keep the blade clean and dry. In case of rust develop on the blade rub it with fine sandpaper.

The khukuri has a blade full of different styles than any other normal khukuri. Nepal is known as the Land os khukuri. Its origin was from the Gorkhalis who fought in the world war without fare in the face. They have earned so many victorias in the world and the kukri is the symbol of them. The basic things like making the khukuri full tang are only changed in the khukuri rest of all are all the same.
