CHUKURI
A Chukuri is a unique type of hunting knife, which differs from other traditional Kukri in that, it has a sharp cutting edge in lower part as well as the spine. Which can be use deliver a fatal blow . It is one of the famous Kukris. This Kukri is a handmade kukri. The blade of the hunting knife is of highly grade carbon steel (Car and jeep leaf spring, 5160). It is a full tang hunting knife with wood handle 2 rivets. The kukri is custom made design unique to our shop. The scabbard is of Pinewood and water buffalo leather.
The length of the blade is 5 inch, which is an unpolished blade. The blade weight is 450 gms with the scabbard. The handle which is of the pinewood, which are fuse together by Laha is about 5 inch. The overall length of the Kukri 10 inches. The thickness of the blade is 8mm. The hardness of steel at the spine is 22-25 RC, belly=45-46 RC and at the edge=54-55 RC. This Kukri is from Dharan. The material used is Highly Graded Carbon Steel, (car & Jeep leaf spring, 5160)Water Buffalo refine Leather for Scabbard(outside) and Rosewood for the Handle, Pinewood for the Scabbard (inside), Laha( Nepali Traditional Glue). Since the blade is full tang it can be chopping any hard materials. The 5 Inch chukuri is a pocket kukri and it is good for the hunters.
