Itihas Kukri _ The Itihas Kukri is one the famous Kukris(khukuri). The name refers to History, which denotes that the Kukri is a historical one. This Kukri is similar to the Paanwala. The blade of the Kukri is made from High graded Carbon steel (Car and jeep leaf spring 5160). The blade is handmade and unpolished. The handle is made up of Rosewood and bone in which the wood is fused together using a traditional Nepali glue called Laha.
The size of the blade is 12 inch, It is a full tang Kukri. The overall length is 18 inches, with the handle being 6 inches long. It is one of the most comfortable Kukris. It has been used for a long time in daily activities. The Kukri comes with a Scabbard made up of water buffalo leather which is fused with pinewood. The Itihas Kukri comes in Various shapes and sizes. The Itihas Kukri weights 12gms. Hardness of steel : spine=22-25 RC, belly=45-46 RC, edge=54-55 RC. this blade can be used to chop wood or bone cleaning bushes.
We highly recommend that the wooden parts on all kukri are treated with the appropriate timber oil or wood treatment prior to use to protect and prolong the life of the timber.
